You are capable of working under permanent management, prioritizing the safety and well-being of children. You are committed and can comfortably handle assessments and reports related to fostering and kinship care.
What the Job Involves
The role involves working within the Family and Friends / Kinship Assessment Fostering service team to perform viability reports, and family and friends assessments, and present these assessments to the fostering panel. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety of children and assessing suitable alternative family placements. Based at Parklands, Liverpool, the position has hybrid working arrangements, requiring three days per week on-site. The placements vary in duration, requiring a commitment of either until April 2026 or a minimum of six months. The role requires travelling, so candidates should live within a one-hour commutable distance to Liverpool.
Skills
- Experienced in fostering, preferably with safeguarding experience
- Completing form C fostering assessments
- Presenting assessments to the fostering panel
- Completing viability, kinship, and SGO assessments
- Knowledge of fostering regulations/legislation and National Minimum Standards
- Ability to work to court timescales
- Collaboration with local authority child care and legal teams
- Car driving
