Who You Are
A dedicated individual with a relevant Play Work qualification or similar (Level 2 or above). You should have a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures, health and safety in play services, and the challenges faced by vulnerable groups. Experience in open access, free-play services, and adventure play facilities is essential. You are an effective communicator, able to work as part of a team, adapt to the changing needs of the service, and demonstrate good interpersonal and networking skills.
What the Job Involves
You will support the delivery of high-quality play activities for children and young people aged 8 to 15 years old (up to 25 with SEND) in Adventure Playgrounds within the borough. Your responsibilities include organizing and supervising events, ensuring effective facility operation, developing a positive activities program, and maintaining accurate records. You will also play a role in community engagement, safeguarding, and promoting the service, while supporting maintenance and development of play structures. Participation in training and personal development activities is required, as well as working collaboratively with other agencies to promote service objectives. This role requires a flexible schedule, primarily in the evenings and weekends.
