Who You Are
You are an experienced social worker with a robust understanding of social work principles and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of individuals, families, and communities. You possess a Social Work qualification, such as a Degree in Social Work or DipSW, and are registered with the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC). With extensive experience working in multi-agency settings, you demonstrate leadership and the ability to work independently whilst managing complex caseloads. You are adept at balancing risks with rights and choices, fostering positive outcomes, and are recognized for your expertise in social work practice and policy development.
What the Job Involves
This role requires you to carry a caseload and conduct community care and safeguarding assessments for complex cases. You will collaborate with colleagues and external agencies, undertake statutory safeguarding duties, and provide expert opinions and case management. Your responsibilities extend to providing support and resources to empower individuals and communities, developing personalized outcome-focused plans, and maintaining comprehensive records for court proceedings. Additionally, you will support the professional development of colleagues and supervise less experienced staff, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational policies.
