What the Job Involves
As a Building Control Surveyor, you will support the Building Control Service in North Yorkshire, ensuring buildings comply with health, safety, sustainability, energy conservation, accessibility, and design standards. The role involves inspecting building plans, conducting site visits, and initiating enforcement actions as needed. You will deal with dangerous structures, demolition notifications, and unauthorised works, liaising with various stakeholders and agencies. The position demands engagement in personal development, supporting the building control department, and contributing to the ISO 9001 registration. You are expected to deliver excellent customer service and ensure effective communication with all external and internal parties involved.
