You are a qualified Estates Surveyor with significant, relevant post-qualified experience within property or estate management. You possess a sound technical ability in managing property portfolios, including commercial, operational, and land assets, and have a deep understanding of the current issues facing local government. Your strong commercial awareness and business acumen enable you to ensure the financial sustainability and improved performance of the property portfolio. You are adept at managing contracts and property transactions, and you have excellent communication and negotiation skills. You are inclusive, ambitious, creative, and team-oriented, always striving to deliver excellent customer service while adapting to changing environments.
What the job involves
As a Senior Estates Surveyor, you will lead on a large and diverse portfolio of properties and projects, managing property transactions, tenant engagement, and workloads. You will ensure that all land and property assets remain compliant and safe, while driving strategic objectives. Your responsibilities include maximizing rental income, overseeing the commercial estate, managing key projects and relationships, supporting asset valuations, and overseeing property acquisitions and disposals. You will also contribute to the development of the Council’s Asset Management Strategy and champion the Corporate Landlord Model. Additionally, you will manage a team of property professionals and support their development.
