What the Job Involves
The role involves leading, managing, and developing the Democratic Services team and providing expert advice on governance and decision-making matters. You will manage the servicing of the Council's committees, maintain the Council's constitution, and support member training and induction. Key duties include ensuring compliance with statutory provisions for meetings, drafting reports and policies, managing budgets, and supporting the office of the Mayor. The role also involves attending evening meetings, supporting election duties, and conducting periodic reviews of members' allowances.
