Who You Are
An experienced Housing Advice/Prevention/Homelessness Assessment Officer capable of hitting the ground running. You are knowledgeable with Part VII Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act, and other relevant legislation. You have experience in carrying out homelessness inquiries, casework, and drafting s184 decision letters.
What the Job Involves
Part of the Housing Options Rough Sleepers Team, your responsibilities include completing assessments, conducting respective prevention and relief work, and managing a varied caseload. You are required to deliver in a high-pressure Housing Options Service, handling the multiple demands and pressures effectively. Hillingdon offers flexible working arrangements, with a requirement to be office-based 50% of the time after completing an office-based induction which usually lasts two to four weeks, subject to competency.
